Born in Italy, Biagio’s roots in hospitality run deep. His career has taken him across Italy and the UK, immersing him in vibrant culinary scenes. Years in restaurants and food service taught him the value of quality, hospitality, and the joy of sharing food. But his impact goes far beyond the kitchen.
Biagio isn’t just a hospitality professional—he’s a creative problem-solver with a get-it-done attitude. Whether it’s designing bold flavour combinations, building our market kiosk from scratch for a last-minute event, or fixing a broken sink mid-service, Biagio simply figures it out. If he doesn’t know how to do something, he learns—fast. He’s endlessly resourceful, fiercely proactive, and never afraid to get his hands dirty to bring an idea to life.
That spirit of self-taught creativity shows in every detail. From the look and feel of our stall to the colours of our brand, Biagio’s artistic touch is everywhere. His passion for photography also reveals how he sees the world: full of texture, emotion, and beauty.
Much of his vision is shaped by travel. Biagio has explored cultures across Thailand, the Philippines, Egypt, the Galápagos, Morocco, Madagascar, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, France, Greece, Malaysia, India, and beyond. In each place, he dives into local food traditions—bold spices, tropical fruits, and sweet rituals—bringing inspiration back to Wave Gelato.
Outside the world of gelato, Biagio shares another passion with co-founder Cristian: the ocean. He’s an avid diver, always seeking moments of connection beneath the surface. The sea, much like gelato, reflects what Biagio loves most—depth, exploration, and beauty hidden in the details.
