Wave Gelato was born in 2021 in the heart of Hackney, London, thanks to the shared dream of Biagio Di Fiore and Cristian Bonacina. The two friends wanted to bring a proper taste of artisan Italian gelato to the city — not just something sweet, but something with soul.

Cristian trained at the prestigious ALMA culinary school and refined his skills across Europe and Australia. Biagio, on the other hand, spent years working in the hospitality industry between Italy and the UK, always driven by his passion for travelling the world, discovering new cultures, and exploring their unique food and flavours.

Together, they created Wave — a gelato lab where tradition meets creativity, and every flavour has something to say. At Wave, it’s all about using real, seasonal ingredients and crafting each batch with care and curiosity.
